Accenture syllabus and exam pattern (2027 batch)
Accenture syllabus and online test pattern for the 2027 batch: every round, number of questions, time, cut-offs, eligibility and what changed, with practice for each.
2027 batch, pattern checked October 2026. Drives for the 2027 batch run from about August 2026 into 2027, on campus and off campus. The pattern below is the new one used for the 2026 batch.
Roles
- Associate Software Engineer (ASE)
- Advanced ASE (higher package, extra coding)
Eligibility
- B.E./B.Tech, M.E./M.Tech, MCA, M.Sc (some drives also take BCA/B.Sc)
- Usually 60–65% or 6.5 CGPA in 10th, 12th and graduation
- No active backlogs at the time of the test
What changed
The old Cognitive Assessment MCQs: English Ability, Critical Reasoning & Problem Solving, and Abstract Reasoning. Numerical aptitude is gone too. They were replaced by short game-based tasks and a behavioural test. Some colleges still report the old sections in a few drives, so do a quick revision of basic aptitude anyway.
Round 1: Behavioural + game-based cognitive
Behavioural (psychometric): 54 statements, 20 min
- Work style and teamwork
- Handling pressure
- Ownership and ethics
- Answer honestly and consistently
Game-based cognitive: 3 games, ~20 min
- Memory and recall (e.g. hidden walls)
- Fast mental maths (quick sums)
- Grid path-finding / route building
Round 2: Technical + coding
Technical MCQs: 40–45 MCQs, ~45 min
- Common applications & MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Pseudocode: loops, recursion, operators, output tracing
- Networking basics: OSI, TCP/UDP, IP, DNS
- Security and cloud basics: firewalls, encryption, IaaS/PaaS/SaaS
Coding: 2–3 problems, 45–60 min
- Arrays and strings
- Loops and conditions
- Basic maths and patterns
- Languages: C, C++, Java, Python (.NET/JS in some drives)
Round 3: Communication
Spoken, scored by software.
Communication assessment: ~20 tasks, 20–30 min
- Read aloud and repeat sentences
- Sentence mastery and building
- Vocabulary and grammar
- Short spoken answers (fluency, pronunciation)
Round 4: Technical + HR interview
Interview: 1 round, 20–30 min
- Your project, explained simply
- OOPs, DBMS, a little networking
- Willingness to relocate and work shifts
- Why Accenture
Tips
- No negative marking: never leave an MCQ blank.
- Every section has its own cut-off, so a weak section can end the test even if the rest is strong.
- The games reward speed and accuracy together: practise under a timer.
